I welcome the awarding of the contract for the major building project at the Holy Family School, Cootehill.

The award of the contract will enable work to commence at an early date on the provision of temporary accommodation for the students.  The temporary school accommodation is necessary to enable the students to be moved from the existing school buildings and work on the major permanent building project will get underway subsequently.

I compliment the Principal, Ms Rachel Moynagh and her staff colleagues, successive Boards of Management and Parents’ Associations on their work in highlighting the need for modern and adequate accommodation for the increasing number of students attending the school. I am glad to have been able to consistently support, over the years, the work of all involved in advocating for this much-needed school accommodation.
