Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil T.D. Brendan Smith has been informed by the HSE and the RCSI Hospital Group that a Consultant has commenced ENT clinics at Monaghan Hospital.

“I welcome this development as there have been unacceptable delays in recent years with ENT appointments in Cavan/Monaghan and indeed throughout the country.  I have also received confirmation from the HSE that ENT services which have been provided to patients in Cavan/Monaghan area from Craigavon Hospital will also continue.

The HSE reply follows on from my ongoing representations and Parliamentary Questions to the Health Minister regarding the urgent need to improve ENT services for patients in Cavan/Monaghan”, concluded Deputy Brendan Smith.
