Below is the up-to-date position regarding new Garda District Headquarters for Bailieborough as outlined by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform in response to my recent Parliamentary Question in Dáil Éireann.
Again I have urged the Office of Public Works to have this project progressed as soon as possible due to the inadequate accommodation at the existing Garda Station.

QUESTION
To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the position regarding the provision of a new Garda district headquarters in Bailieborough, County Cavan; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
REPLY
A Planning Application for this development commenced on 31 August 2018, under Part 9 of the Planning and Development Regulations. The period of public consultation ended on 11 September 2018. It is expected that this process will be concluded shortly.
At this point in time it is not possible to give a definitive completion date for the construction of the new Station until i) the Planning process, ii) the required Public Procurement process and iii) Contract Award are complete.
