The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht has confirmed to me that Waterways Ireland will explore the potential of carrying out an independent review of the environmental studies that have been conducted into the possible extension of the Erne Navigation.

This reply followed on from my Parliamentary Questions in Dáil Éireann when I strongly urged Minister Madigan to give further consideration to this project.
