Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD, Brendan Smith has received confirmation from the HSE that work is expected to commence on site in July for the new Primary Care Centre in Killeshandra.
“In response to my ongoing representations the HSE stated that the Killeshandra Primary Care Centre project received planning permission before Christmas but there were a number of planning conditions which the developer needed to agree with the local authority. These conditions related to site access and parking. The HSE state that it is their understanding that these are now resolved and that works are expected to commence on site in early July.
I welcome this development and the provision of these much-needed facilities will be beneficial in the delivery of health services locally in Killeshandra” stated Brendan Smith TD.

Re: Ref 4310/19 – Killeshandra PCC (Additional Query) – Many thanks for your reply of February 18 in relation to the provision of a new Primary Care Centre in Killeshandra. I would appreciate if you could let me know at what stage this particular project is, and when same is likely to proceed to the next stage.
Dear Deputy Smith,
The Health Service Executive has been requested to reply directly to you in the context of the above Representation,
which you submitted to the Chief Officer, CHO 1 for response.
This project has received grant of planning permission before Christmas however there were a number of planning
conditions which the Developer needed to agree with the local authority. These related to site access and parking. My
understanding is that these are now resolved and that works are expected to commence on site early July.
