Fianna Fáil TD for Cavan and Monaghan, Brendan Smith, has once again raised the urgent need to provide upgraded and additional accommodation at St Bricin’s College, Belturbet with the Minister for Education in Dáil Eireann. 

Deputy Brendan Smith commented, “Minister Foley, in her reply to my Parliamentary Questions in Dáil Éireann, outlined that Officials in her Department had recent engagement with the school patron in respect of this application and formal confirmation of the decision on the application will issue to the ETB shortly.  

“Cavan/Monaghan Education and Training Board submitted an application to the Department of Education for capital funding for accommodation at St Bricin’s College under the Additional School Accommodation scheme.   

“Since the Dáil reply I have renewed my request to the Minister for Education to have this application finalised without delay,” concluded the Cavan and Monaghan TD.
