• Funding in the development and improvement of footpaths, walking and cycling routes in Cavan and Monaghan

Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD Brendan Smith welcomes the allocation of €5.9 Million to Cavan and Monaghan County Councils in respect of footpaths, walking and cycling infrastructure in both counties.  Cavan has been allocated  €3,371,445 and Monaghan has been allocated €2,500,605.

This funding will assist in the development and improvement of footpaths, walking and cycling routes in our towns and villages and the scheme has also an important safety dimension particularly for school going children.
