Brendan Smith: Ultra Clean investment in Cavan most welcome

Fianna Fáil TD for Cavan and Monaghan, Brendan Smith has welcomed the announcement by Ultra Clean Holdings Inc. that it will establish an Advanced Technology Cleaning Centre in Cavan Town.

Deputy Brendan Smith commented, “Ultra Clean Holdings state that this project will create in the region of 100 jobs when fully operational and has government support through IDA Ireland. This is great news for Cavan Town and the surrounding area.  

“The manufacture of semiconductor chips is continually growing and this company is a worldwide leader in ultra – clean parts cleaning and analytics and will be serving the European market. There will be a range of jobs with this new investment and this facility is expected to be operational in the third quarter of this year.” 

The Cavan and Monaghan TD continued: “The location for the new manufacturing facility is at the IDA Ireland Business and Technology Park at Killygarry and at present construction is underway on this 57,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility. This demonstrates the importance of having good infrastructure in place to attract inward investment.

“I compliment the Local Enterprise Office, Cavan County Council and IDA Ireland on their work in bringing this project to Cavan,” concluded Deputy Brendan Smith.
