Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD Brendan Smith welcomes the confirmation by the Minister for Children and Youth that he has approved funding of €120,000 to Cavan/Monaghan ETB in respect of the establishment of a new UBU youth service in the Cavan Town area.

Eight areas in the country have been chosen with an initial allocation of 120,000 euro per annum for each service. The ETB has completed a local needs assessment to inform the establishment of the new service.

Minister O’Gorman stated that he had secured this funding for a much needed increase in targeted youth services. This investment will benefit young people in their local community. I compliment our local ETB on their preparation of the successful application’, stated Brendan Smith TD
