I welcome the  confirmation from the Heritage Council of funding in 2022 for a number of projects in Cavan and Monaghan.

Cavan County Museum Interactive Heritage Map Cavan Project €13,950

Killeshandra Tidy Towns Heritage Group – Rath Church Preservation €18,000

Town Team Cootehill – Coote Family Vault Conservation Project €20,000

Cavan County Council – Placing Heritage at the Heart of Communities in Cavan €8,000

Cavan Historic Graveyards Network €12,000

Cavan County Council, Monaghan County Council and Donegal County Council

  • Ulster Land Estates Data Collection and Input €10,938

Monaghan County Museum – A contested history – An Accessible heritage €20.000

St Louis Secondary School Conservation and Restoration of 3 windows and doors €19,900

Monaghan County Council – Enhancements to buildings in Dublin Street, Monaghan €247,952

Monaghan County Council – Biodiversity and Heritage Strategic Plan Implementation €36,000

“The Heritage Council provides some funding towards work on heritage and regeneration projects and also assistance towards conservation works.  This funding is particularly important for many community organisations undertaking such improvement works”, stated Deputy Brendan Smith.
