Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD Brendan Smith welcomes funding announced by Malcolm Noonan TD, Minister of State for Heritage and Electoral Reform for local biodiversity projects.
“This funding awarded to Cavan and Monaghan County Councils will enable them to carry out biodiversity projects through the Local Biodiversity Action Fund (LBAF). Cavan Council Council will receive €28,900 and Monaghan County Council will receive €100,000.
The Local Biodiversity Action Fund is an impactful scheme that supports local authorities and communities to deliver on Ireland’s national objectives for nature, from invasive species to habitat restoration to awareness-raising to surveys and monitoring work”, stated Brendan Smith TD.
