Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD, Brendan Smith, has welcomed funding for Cavan and Monaghan Sports Partnerships from Dormant Accounts.  Cavan Sports Partnership has been awarded €103,900 and Monaghan Sports Partnership has been awarded €107,500.

“I welcome this approval by Minister for Sport, Thomas Byrne TD, and it is extremely important to support different sporting initiatives with a particular emphasis on making sport accessible for all.  A range of programmes will be assisted with this funding and it is important to encourage as much participation in sport as possible.  Government funding is needed to support the great work of volunteers throughout the country in all sporting disciplines” stated Brendan Smith TD.
