FF Foreign Affairs Spokesperson extends sympathy following Irish deaths in the US

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs Brendan Smith has extended his sympathy to the families of a number of Irish citizens who died or were seriously injured after what appears to have been a tragic accident in Berkley, California early this morning.

Deputy Smith said, “I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to those who have lost a loved one in this tragic accident.  The details are still emerging and it may be a number of days before we have a clear picture of what happened.

“This is an extremely difficult time for the families and my thoughts and prayers are with them. Anyone with concerns about friends or family in the region, should contact the Department of Foreign Affairs Emergency Consular Response Team on +353 1 418 0200.”
