Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne TD published the Mid-Year Progress Report 2026 on the implementation of the national housing action plan, Delivering Homes, Building Communities 2025–2030, following approval by Government.

The Mid-Year Progress Report 2026 outlines the key milestones reached since the publication of Delivering Homes, Building Communities 2025-2030 last November, with a spotlight on progress under each of the priority areas in the plan.

Across Cavan Monaghan we see a welcome increase in housing construction, both private and public, and this is essential in view of the huge demand for housing throughout both counties resulting in a big increase in housing stock. This investment will continue.
