Garda

Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil T.D. Brendan Smith  has been informed by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform that the Part 9 Planning Application phase in respect of the provision of a new Garda District Headquarters in Bailieborough will be concluded shortly.

The Minister in his reply to Deputy Brendan Smith’s Parliamentary Question in Dáil Éireann stated –

“At this point in time it is not possible to give a definitive completion date for the construction of the new Station until the Planning process, the required Public Procurement process and Contract Award are completed”.

Deputy Brendan Smith has again urged the Office of Public Works to ensure that no unnecessary delays occur in providing this much needed new accommodation.
